SUMMARY
The Almond Processing Operator is responsible for hulling, shelling, and pre cleaning Almonds as well as performing maintenance in the off-season. In addition will be required to drive equipment such as forklifts and a loader. The role will provide an opportunity for growth within the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. Frequent lifting, and or moving over 50 pounds. Constant use of overall vision and hearing abilities; frequent detail, reading and close up work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a field or production environment in connection to agriculture business. Defined on site work schedule. Indoor and outdoor temperatures with varying temperatures and weather may be experienced. Working around slippery, muddy and uneven surfaces. Varied work schedule and overtime, including weekend, nights and holiday.

Scheduling:
- Monday – Saturday, 7:00am – 3:30pm during off season
- Monday – Saturday, 10:00pm – 6:00am during season
SUMMARY
The Almond Processing Operator is responsible for hulling, shelling, and pre cleaning Almonds as well as performing maintenance in the off-season. In addition will be required to drive equipment such as forklifts and a loader. The role will provide an opportunity for growth within the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
- Perform precleaning of almonds by unloading trailers and adjust machinery
- Operate Hulling and Shelling plant
- Adjust flow of almonds, adjust screens to sort almonds, and adjust sheer rolls and crackers to create best quality
- Observe almonds throughout process to ensure proper hull removal and quality
- Fill bins with hulled or shelled almonds and process coordinating paperwork
- Perform quality checks and sampling
- Operate a loader and yard truck to transfer almonds
- Operate a forklift to transport almond bins
- Fabrication/welding (MIG/TIG)
- Electrical – troubleshooting, assess/inspect motors
- Additional duties as assigned related to the role of an Almond Processing Operator.
- Experience with forklift and a loader
- Experience as an Almond Hulling Operator
- Bilingual a plus.
