SUMMARY
Boviteq California is looking for a motivated veterinarian to join our team in providing advanced reproductive services to clients near Hilmar, CA. If you have a passion for advanced reproduction, we have a tremendous team and state-of-the-art facility set on exceeding our clients’ expectations. Our current team is made up of a general manager, one veterinarian, chute side technicians, oocyte-searching technicians, four and features housing for up to 300 donors, milking capabilities for lactating donors, hydraulic chutes, heated collection area and oocyte searching area, contemporary offices, and an on-site IVF laboratory with services through Boviteq USA.
The selected candidate will report to the general manager, with the main objective to carry out reproductive activities related to OPU and ET. Candidates must be willing to work weekdays and occasional weekends according to the schedule in place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
• Ovum pick-up (OPU) and dominant follicle removal (DFR) activities with donors; monitor and adjust stimulation protocols as needed.
• Embryo transfer (ET) and pregnancy diagnosis in recipients
• Occasional conventional embryo flush and embryo export
• Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, with license in the state of application and willingness to obtain license in California if selected; previous experience with USDA accreditation for export and AETA certification a plus
• 1 to 3+ years of experience in bovine reproductive physiology; willing to train new grads if a good fit
• High degree of professionalism and desire to connect with clients to ensure best outcomes
• Excellent teamwork and communications skills; fluent in English
• Willing to travel within 200 miles of the OPU center regularly, within the US 3-6 times per year
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Manual dexterity

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. Frequent lifting, and or moving over 50 pounds. Constant use of overall vision and hearing abilities; frequent detail, reading and close up work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a field or production environment in connection to agriculture business. Defined on site work schedule. Indoor and outdoor temperatures with varying temperatures and weather may be experienced. Working around slippery and uneven surfaces.
