Shift: DayRate of Pay: $70,000- $90,000 per year.

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Division Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the general ledger, monthly close and reconciliation activities, reporting for assigned entities and compliance filings, and various duties in support of
the entire accounting team with a variety of administrative and accounting tasks.  The role will provide an opportunity for advancement within the company and personal professional growth.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
Essential duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
  • Reconcile the trial balance
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Accrual Accounting
  • Intercompany Accounting
  • Analyze general ledger activity and variances
  • Assist AP And AR when needed
  • Prepare reports for management, external auditors and tax team, and government agencies

 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Special projects and/or other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS: 
Knowledge of:
  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Accrual Accounting
  • Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Microsoft Excel

Ability to:
  • Handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines regularly and consistently
  • Maintain an extreme level of confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exercise good judgment
  • Detail-oriented; self-starter
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff throughout the organization
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all co-workers and staff

Experience and Training Guidelines:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or four (4) years’ experience in accounting
  • Agricultural knowledge preferred
  • Advanced experience with Excel; QuickBooks experience a plus
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and thorough; strong organizational skills

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: 
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and sitting
  • Occasional lifting, and or moving up to 40 pounds
  • Constant use of overall vision and hearing abilities; frequent reading and close up work

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office environment in connection to manufacturing business. Some travel may be required.
