Shift: DaySalary Range: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour.
 

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Administrative Assistant position is responsible for assisting customers, backing up customer service as needed, invoicing, issuing credit, debit or rebill. Ensuring that filing is completed regularly, answering phone calls and emails, entering orders for customers and assisting the department as necessary at Associated Hulling and Shelling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist customers by answering questions and providing information over the telephone or email
  • File of documents accurately
  • Perform general clerical duties including computer data entry, invoice, credit, debit and rebills, and maintaining files and records
  • Position will talk to growers to determine when and where they need trailers to be dropped off or picked up.
  • Position will then guide and direct truck drivers to locations for pick up and drop off for the trailers.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Special projects and/or other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Competencies:
  • Principles of customer service
  • Basic mathematics
  • Modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment
  • 10-key proficiency; good data entry skills
  • Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • SAP experience

Ability to:
  • Perform procedures in an organized and accurate manner; meet deadlines regularly
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and customers
  • Operate a computer for a variety of applications
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and outside customers
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Problem solving and research issues
  • Take and follow directions to stay on task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining tact and composure 

Experience and Training Guidelines:
  • One (one) year of customer service experience/exposure
  • Two (2) year degree or equivalent experience

Working conditions
Work is performed in a typical temperature-controlled office environment subject to typical office noise and environment.
